Plant-based eating offers numerous benefits for both our health and the environment. By consuming foods that are high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and calories, we can decrease the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. Not only is this diet good for our well-being, but it is also sustainable and eco-friendly.
At the age of 25, I picked up my first book by Dr. Pritikin. I began reading about the health benefits of plant-based eating and decided to adopt this lifestyle full-time. I quickly noticed the change in my energy level, sleep patterns and digestion health. Cooking has always been a big part of my life. I cook for my family and friends and make Sundays a regular "prep-day" for the week. You would be surprised how many times people (unknowlingly) rave about my meatless entrees. While plant-based eating has become popular, the learning process can be overwhelming. I want to help you with that! I decided to combine my love of cooking, my passion for plants and the desire to support a healthy enviroment into Plate Your Plant.
Having plant-based ingredients on hand is the very first step to creating healthy and delicious plant-based meals and snacks. For example, have you ever searched for a recipe online, found one that looks perfect, scanned the ingredients in your kitchen and yelped with excitement that you actually had all of the ingredients on hand? Having a well-stocked kitchen means you can create all kinds of fun and delicious recipes.
I create meal plans based on your personal preferences, dietary restrictions and food goals. I will come to your home, prepare as many meals as you would like for the week (breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts), come cook everything for you and clean up…all you have to do is eat and enjoy!
If you are interested in learning about how to cook plant-based, how to substitute certain animal products, have specific medical issues you are trying to fix with your diet or are just passionate about exploring new ways to make vegetables taste good, then my in-home, cooking lessons are a great option. Booking on a weekly, or bi-monthly basis, we create meals specifically catered to your dietary goals, so that you can become a great vegan chef!
RATES: $75 per hour (4 hour minimum) Client also reimburses for ingredient cost based on meals and $75 travel/shopping fee if applicable
